I am a 2014 B.tech pass out (cse) from Haldia Institute of tech. Initially i worked in an IT company but i was getting frustrated due to low pay(10k/m),very long drive from home, long office hours (>11 h) and many other reasons. One of my seniors who is currently Karnataka bank PO then told me to take preparation and give bank job exams like SBI, SIDBI, IBPS etc. I then took a risk, quit my job and took preparations. I also followed a few banking websites and pages like this. Even though i couldn't clear SBI PO and clerk as my preparation was not very good that time, yet i prepared with determination and finally cleared both IBPS PO and clerk(canara bank). Believe me, hard work is a part of my success but the more important factor to success is to study smart rather than study hard. I just did these things:-
1. Give online practice tests daily once (1 month before ibps started).
2. Solve different types of math and reasoning problems. Try to do it quickly. Speed and accuracy is the key, instead of attempting more questions. I myself attempted 18 in quantitative aptitude.
4. Read English newspapers daily and update your gk. CSR (competition success review) is a good book and so is mahendra's MICA (master in current affairs).
5. Don't take CHAAP. Always be cool. This is the most important thing in life. Take calculated risks in life with confidence and you will definitely be rewarded.
All the best to all the aspirants and don't be afraid of the competition.
